- Chesterfield Fourth of July Celebration – 10300 Courthouse Road, Chesterfield, VA
Chesterfield homes for sale will light up this summer thanks to the always fun Fourth of July Celebration in town. Live music will set the scene starting at 5 p.m. while you dine from the tastiest local food trucks. Little ones will love it thanks to the children's inflatable play area. Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged. The night closes at 10 p.m. with fireworks.
- Independence Day and Artillery Demonstration – 6125 Boydton Plank Road, Petersburg, VA
Not far from some of the top Petersburg homes for sale, the Independence Day and Artillery Demonstration is something you can really sink your teeth into! Beginning at 9 a.m., there'll be a detailed color guard demonstration and you'll be able to see real period artillery in action. The Haversacks and Hardtack String Band will be playing authentic Civil War ballads, too.
- 4th of July Fireworks Show – Southgate Square, Colonial Heights, VA
Owners (and future owners) of Colonial Heights homes for sale get to enjoy the 4th of July Fireworks Show just a short distance from home. The show's official viewing areas will be off Interstate 95, Exits 53 and 54, in the Southgate Square area. For best viewing, bring blankets and lawn chairs. The fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. and usually last for around an hour.
- Independence Day Celebration – 428 North Arthur Ash Boulevard, Richmond VA
Sponsored by the Virginia Museum of History and Culture, the Independence Day Celebration in Richmond is one of the top family-friendly events of the summer. The fun kicks off at 9 a.m. and includes live music, a scavenger hunt, and a picnic out on the lawn. Since it ends at 5 p.m., you still have the opportunity to relocate to your favorite fireworks viewing spot.
- Red, White, and Lights 2019 – 2999 Darbytown Road, Henrico, VA
Situated in Dorey Park, just a short distance from Henrico homes for sale, the aptly-named Red, White, and Lights is an annual tribute to everything that makes America great. Gates open at 4 p.m. for live entertainment, popular food trucks, and the Family Fun Zone. At 8 p.m., you can enjoy a concert by the Richmond Symphony Orchestra capped off with brilliant fireworks!
